For the past few years I have been settling into Classic Land - I have made peace with my classic-ness (an image identity I fought for most of my life..... The last thing I wanted was to be a boring Classic, lol!). I have also made peace with my mixed summer-ish coloring (the one season that I just did not want to be because I felt it was boring, lol!), but at least it is a secondary and not my primary, or at least it wasn't until I went grey.... Now I do appear more summer primary and autumn secondary.... Oh well, I will make peace with this too! ![😹]()
That all said, I decided to re-visit Kibbe Land again and knowing I am Classic see what Classic I was in his system.
I was calling my self an SC/DC in Kibbe Land, at last visit of his system, because it was as though if you were to take the SC and add more yang to it, it would work and likewise, if you took the DC and added more yin it would work , but in and of themselves, the SC is too soft and the DC is too harsh..... So why not just the C? Because the C in and of itself was, well..... Too boring!!
So I dissected each Classic in Kibbe and made notes of what worked best overall on me and this is what I came up with:

Line/Silhouette/Shape: Classic
Fabric: Classic/Soft Classic
Color: Classic/Dramatic Classic

Sweaters: Soft Classic/Dramatic Classic
Skirts: Classic/Dramatic Classic

Accessories: Soft Classic/Dramatic Classic
Jewelry: Soft Classic/Dramatic Classic

So, SC/DC was a correct assessment on my part in the past but overall, I am just a Classic but a Classic in a different sense than is written by Kibbe.... A Classic that can do more romance than he allows for and one that can do more drama than he allows for.... And therefore I will continue to call myself a "Creative Classic"![😉]()
